We create websites at no charge to qualified businesses and organizations (see the next FAQ for eligibility). We can create your website using a vendor's free builder and hosting plan. If you require features unavailable on the free plan, (such as an online storefront or custom domain name), you will incur costs from the vendor. Virtually all of our clients’ needs can be met with a plan costing $0 to $23/month. We cannot make any purchases on your behalf but will walk you through how to make purchases by yourself.

NextGen has created free websites for organizations all around the United States. Qualifying websites must serve: a community-based nonprofit organization, a small business (<25 full-time employees), and/or a minority-owned or woman-owned business. Potential clients may be asked to demonstrate proof of eligibility.

Yes! If you don’t qualify for free services, we can discuss our fee schedule which varies depending on the complexity of the desired website. NextGen design services are much more affordable than comparable services of professional website designers.

We are all volunteers in middle or high school from the metro DC region. What we have in common is a knack for design and a desire to give back to our community. New designers apprentice with experienced designers to learn to how create the best websites for our clients.

Yes! Besides suggesting layouts and tools for your website, we can help select the best videos and images to show off your business or organization. If you need supplemental stock images, we can offer some possibilities. We can also design simple logos to feature on your website.

We are as eager as you are for your website to be sustainable long term. Therefore, we don’t consider a project complete until all of your questions are answered, and you feel confident making website updates on your own. You can also contact us at a later date if the need arises.

We can migrate content from an outdated, unattractive website to a new one or build a new one from scratch. We can also link a new website to your existing domain name.
